Trimensional uses both the screen and the front-facing camera on your iOS device, detecting patterns of light reflected off your face to build a true 3D model.

Features for Advanced Users:
-3D Model Export (In-App Purchase): Export any scan as an OBJ, STL, or PLY file via email, with optional mesh smoothing. OBJ: texture-mapped polygonal model compatible with Maya, Blender, and most other 3D software packages, STL: watertight geometry suitable for 3D printing, PLY: point cloud with position (XYZ) and color (RGB) information per vertex.
So, turn out the lights, turn up your screen brightness, and get ready for your close-up as you capture 3D scans using your iPhone 4 or 4th Generation iPod Touch*. For best results, an extremely dark room is required and iPhone screen brightness must be set to maximum.
*REQUIRES FRONT-FACING CAMERA.
NOTE: Users running older iOS versions 4.0.x have reported problems launching the app. Upgrading to iOS 4.1 or greater is confirmed to solve this problem. We messed up and we apologize greatly for this error. We are working on a solution for those unable to upgrade their iOS version.
